Batagaika

Batagaika nu este un crater obișnuit. Situat în inima Siberiei, în districtul Verkhoyansky al Republicii Sakha, Batagaika este de fapt o depresiune termokarst, cea mai mare de acest fel din lume. Termokarst înseamnă literalmente „teren topit”, iar acesta este exact modul în care s-a format Batagaika.
